“Knowing that all these fantastic partners are on board in the second year is a real vote of confidence”, says a visibly proud Jörg Michaelis. “Having a partner is one thing. Filling a partnership with life is a completely different matter. I think we achieved that incredibly well in our opening year. We did our best to make every single brand a part of the trophy.”
There are many examples, series manager Michaelis goes on to explain. “With Edox, we’ve got a leading manufacturer of high-class watches. So it was only logical to give the champion a watch at the Norisring award ceremony and make the victory moment all the more special. The fact that our paddocks are equipped with individual partition frames from our long-standing partner CCS goes without saying.”
In addition to CATL, manufacturer of energy storage systems, Shell is also part of the 2022 BMW M2 Cup again. Two cars will be driving with the mineral oil company design as in the previous year. “A striking look ensured a high recognition value – no matter whether fans were sitting in front of the screen or on the tribune. That was a huge advantage for our partners”, says Michaelis.
Partner Schaeffler also resumes commitment in the 2022 BMW M2 Cup. Fans were thrilled to see prominent guests steering the eye-catching car carrying the technology group’s livery in the debut year. Brand ambassador Carrie Schreiner was one of the green BMW M2 CS Racing’s drivers.
The BMW M2 Cup kick-off is scheduled for 20 to 22 May under the DTM flag. Venue is the Lausitzring in Brandenburg, where the one-make trophy celebrated its 2021 racing debut.
